Sencillo principal del primer álbum de estudio de RATM lanzado en 1992.
En algunas ocasiones se le da en nombre "Killing in the name of" algo incorrecto ya que en la lista de canciones del disco aparece como "Killing in the name".
Es, seguramente, el himno de la banda y la que traza la línea de protesta que siguiera RATM a lo largo de los años. El tema habla sobre la revolución contra el racismo surgido en los cuerpos de seguridad.
El tema ha estado cargado de controversia.
En la portada de la reedición de 1999 se da homenaje a Thich Quang Duc, fue un monje budista mahāyāna vietnamita que se quemó hasta morir en una calle muy transitada de Saigón el 11 de junio de 1963. Thích Quảng Đức lo hizo en señal de protesta contra las persecuciones que sufrían los budistas por parte del gobierno de Ngô Đình Diệm. Las fotografías del hecho dieron la vuelta al mundo y sirvieron para cuestionar las políticas adoptadas por el régimen de Diệm. Malcolm Browne ganó un premio Pulitzer por la fotografía del monje, y David Halberstam, realizó un informe sobre el hecho. Después de su funeral, en el que sus restos fueron finalmente reducidos a cenizas, el corazón de Quang Duc no se quemó, siendo recuperado y atesorado como una reliquia. Este hecho fue tomado como un símbolo de su compasión y llevó a los budistas vietnamitas a honrarlo como bodhisattva. *Wikipedia

Muy buen vídeo Fiero, sigo todos tus videos y la verdad me has ayudado a progresar un montón y aprender muchos temas.
Te pido por favor que enseñes a tocar Alison Hell de Annihilator, lo quiero aprender pero no encuentro ningún buen tutorial, saludos!
