La verdad es que he estado buscando el significado de esta canción por foros y demás y no me ha quedado muy claro de donde viene. La letra me encanta, todo sea dicho, así que simplemente voy a hacer un resumen de la info que he ido encontrando.

La que más me convence es la que proviene de una frase soltada por Michael Caine en el papel de Alfred, en Batman Dark knight rises, donde le dice a Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) "Some men just want watch the world burn" refiriéndose al nuevo tipo de criminal que es el Joker.

Ejemplo de significado

El significado viene a ser que hay gente que simplemente hace cosas incomprensibles para nosotros simplemente por placer. Esas cosas, lógicamente, tienen que ver con destrucción. En EEUU es una frase adoptada por la sociedad para explicar de manera irónica ciertos comportamientos.
Este podría ser un ejemplo, por que poner el logotipo de la Play en el mando de una XBOX? Simple, crear caos, distorsión... por puro placer.

Otro de los significados que me han parecido razonables hablaba de la decadencia que sufre nuestra sociedad en todo los sentidos, y como arden simbólicamente todos nuestros valores, todas nuestras esperanzas, aplastadas por una maquinaria creada por nosotros mismos.
