The number of the beast fue el disco debut de Bruce Dickinson con Iron Maiden.

Y de ese disco extraemos su quinta pista homónima al disco y compuesta por Steve Harris.

Rodeada de polémica desde el principio, The number of the beast se ha convertido en uno de los himnos del Heavy Metal. 

Por este tema les tacharon de satánicos, ya sabéis de lo que hablo... No nos entienden.

Así que Maiden contestó a su manera en el disco Piece of Mind, en su tema "Still Life". Si pones al revés (Aquel truco que se hacía girando al revés los discos de vinilo) el principio del tema, se puede oir a Nico McBrain un tanto borracho decir: "What ho said the t'ing with the three "bonce", do not meddle with things you don't understand" (Que le dijo el monstruo de tres cabezas, no se meta en cosas que no entiende''), la cual es una frase de Idi Amín Dada, un dictador ugandés el cuál llego al poder gracias a la política colonizadora de UK en los años 50.

Para afinación estandar, he hecho una pequeña mezcla de pistas de guitarra para facilitar el aprendizaje y hacer la vídeo lección más entretenida.
